The Senior Backend Software Engineer will join the New Ventures Focus Area, specifically the Wellz team in Brazil.
The role involves developing scalable solutions to enhance productivity and ensure user-friendly, data-driven products.
Responsibilities include ensuring successful project delivery, designing and maintaining services, building integrations with third-party APIs, managing project priorities, and supporting existing systems.
The engineer will collaborate with business and product teams to review product designs and create new services to meet emerging needs.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, Ruby, NodeJS, or Go, along with experience in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS/SASS.
Experience in developing complex modern service applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.
Understanding of web and back-end paradigms, including single-page apps and microservices.
Ability to apply object-oriented design and create RESTful web services.
Capability to build scalable and maintainable architectures with clean, readable code.
Experience working with product and design teams to create responsive web experiences.
Collaboration skills to achieve significant goals and foster teamwork.
Experience in agile development and quick prototyping.
Ability to manage data from conception to analysis within a data-driven team.
Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithm design.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Knowledgeable in software design approaches and UX patterns.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese, both verbally and in writing.
Willingness to mentor junior engineers.
Full-stack experience and knowledge of large-scale web application architecture are considered a plus.
