The Senior Backend Software Engineer will join the Wellbeing Access team in Brazil, focusing on integrating benefits and services into employees' lives across various organizations.
The role involves simplifying the signup experience for employees, ensuring it is seamless, secure, and stress-free.
The engineer will work within an agile team composed of developers, a product manager, and a UX designer to enhance client experiences.
Responsibilities include defining system architecture, supporting existing systems, ensuring successful deliveries, writing maintainable code, participating in incident resolution, mentoring other developers, and promoting a culture of wellbeing.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience is required.
Candidates must have experience in designing and developing modern web applications.
Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems is mandatory.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Golang, or Typescript is required, with Golang and Kotlin being a plus.
Candidates should have experience with cloud computing (AWS) and cloud-native technologies (K8s).
A willingness to learn and grow in an agile environment is essential.
Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English and Portuguese are required.
Prior experience in backend development and microservices architecture is mandatory.
