Description:

  • The company is headquartered in NYC and has a global team in 11 countries.
  • The Senior Backend Software Engineer will join the Wellbeing Access team in Brazil, focusing on integrating benefits and services into employees' lives across various organizations.
  • The role involves simplifying the signup experience for employees, ensuring it is seamless, secure, and stress-free.
  • The engineer will work within an agile team composed of developers, a product manager, and a UX designer to enhance client experiences.
  • Responsibilities include defining system architecture, supporting existing systems, ensuring successful deliveries, writing maintainable code, participating in incident resolution, mentoring other developers, and promoting a culture of wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Candidates must have experience in designing and developing modern web applications.
  • Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Golang, or Typescript is required, with Golang and Kotlin being a plus.
  • Candidates should have experience with cloud computing (AWS) and cloud-native technologies (K8s).
  • A willingness to learn and grow in an agile environment is essential.
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English and Portuguese are required.
  • Prior experience in backend development and microservices architecture is mandatory.
