Description:
Syndica is creating the Cloud of Web3, providing enterprise-grade RPC infrastructure and developer tools for the Solana ecosystem.
The Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating Syndica’s blockchain infrastructure platform.
Knowledge of Kubernetes is essential for this role, as the team follows a “run what you write” philosophy.
The engineer will deploy and operate the code they write, ensuring the environment is built, deployed, configured, managed, and monitored correctly.
The role involves working closely with the Support and Development team on AWS and GCP hosted infrastructure.
Responsibilities include managing AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud infrastructure, deploying scalable applications, and performing system measurements and benchmarking.
The engineer will troubleshoot availability and performance issues, evaluate performance trends, and collaborate with other engineers to implement operational solutions.
Tools such as Grafana and Prometheus will be used to monitor infrastructure at scale.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience using Kubernetes is required.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience with cloud networking technologies and solutions.
Experience in setting up a Continuous Integration / Continuous Development pipeline is necessary.
Proficiency in managing containers using Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Knowledge of Cloud native architecture, Cloud tooling, DevOps, and the latest trends and practices is essential.
Certification in Google Cloud, Azure Cloud, or AWS is a plus.
Candidates should align a portion of their day with the business hours of the Central Time Zone (UTC -6).
A systematic problem-solving approach, strong sense of ownership, and drive are important traits for this role.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant experience, is required.
