Remote Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Remote)

Description:

• The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will be part of a newly formed security team within KrakenFlex, focusing on securing the cloud environment, integrating security practices, and promoting a culture of security.
• Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining monitoring systems for security observability, responding to incidents and vulnerabilities, designing secure cloud architecture, implementing standards and policies, collaborating with product teams, and ensuring backup and recovery solutions.
• The role involves conducting security checks, providing guidance to team members, collaborating with external pen-testing companies, and ensuring services adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Requirements:

• Strong technical security background with multiple years of experience in cloud technologies, preferably with a security focus.
• Competence in incident response planning, vulnerability management, and security event management, along with knowledge of IAM, RBAC, and Least Privilege principle.
• Experience in implementing and automating security best practices, working with global teams, and using infrastructure as code tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK.
