Description:

  • The Senior Data Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining Modern Health's data infrastructure.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and analytics.
  • The engineer will architect and implement data storage solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and databases.
  • Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders is essential to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • The role involves optimizing and tuning data systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring is a key responsibility.
  • The engineer will develop and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
  • Staying current with emerging data technologies and industry trends is necessary to evaluate their potential impact on the data infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues in a timely manner is also part of the job.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering in a modern tech stack.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala is necessary.
  • Strong experience with big data technologies is required.
  • Expertise in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is required.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake is necessary.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data architecture, and data governance principles is required.
  • Experience with IaaS technologies (e.g., Terraform) is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
