Description:

  • Arcadia is dedicated to transforming diverse data into a unified fabric for health, delivering actionable insights for customers to advance care and research.
  • The Senior Data Engineer will be part of the Data Engineering team, responsible for onboarding and supporting data feed integrations between Client Claim and Clinical data management platforms and the Healthcare Solution Platform.
  • The role involves driving the successful development of solution architecture and completing data pipeline connectors that automate data flow between client platforms and the analytic health solution platform.
  • Success in this role will be measured by the ability to learn the data connector life cycle, contribute to scrum ceremonies, and develop a range of data pipelines within the first year.
  • Responsibilities include designing and documenting connectors, building and unit testing delivery connectors, participating in peer code reviews, and managing multiple implementations simultaneously.
  • The Senior Data Engineer will be expected to deliver work on expected timelines, identify project risks, and apply critical thinking to solve complex problems.
  • The role requires developing technical domain knowledge, business domain knowledge, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant industry experience or a graduate-level degree is required.
  • Proficiency in SQL (4-7 years preferred), Spark (2-4 years preferred), NoSQL databases (2-4 years preferred), database architecture (3-5 years preferred), and cloud architecture (2-4 years preferred).
  • Experience with healthcare data (5-7 years preferred) and healthcare analytics (3-6 years preferred) is essential.
  • The candidate should possess problem-solving skills for basic coding issues and enhancements using frameworks built in Spark Scala.
  • A developing understanding of the business of healthcare data and its interaction with Arcadia products is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present issues using appropriate industry vocabulary, are required.
