Description:

Found is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Data team, which consists of skilled data scientists, data engineers, and analysts.
The team is responsible for researching, training, and deploying machine learning models to detect and stop fraud in real time, as well as using data to inform product development.
The role involves scaling data infrastructure, optimizing data pipelines, and supporting decision-making across the organization.
Key responsibilities include designing, building, and operating large-scale data infrastructure systems, creating a data platform-as-a-service, implementing ETL infrastructures, and contributing to best practices in data engineering.
The Data Engineer will also provide mentorship to the broader data team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data infrastructure, data engineering, or analytics engineering roles.
Experience with relational databases such as Postgres/MySQL, dbt, and Airflow is required.
Applicants should have advocated for and implemented new technologies or open-source frameworks that support data-driven decision-making.
Experience with cloud-native big data infrastructure on public cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure, BigQuery/Redshift/Synapse) is necessary.
The ability to write clean and maintainable code, primarily in Python, is essential.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Previous experience in the fintech space, startup environments, or knowledge of bookkeeping and taxes related to self-employment is a plus.

Found offers a competitive salary range of $205,000 - $235,000, with individual pay determined by skills, experience, and education.
