Description:
Excella is seeking a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer who will be a leader and expert in designing and implementing Continuous Delivery (CD) solutions.
The role involves working in a CD environment where software is maintained in a deployable state throughout its lifecycle.
The engineer will ensure fast feedback on the quality and deployability of the system, allowing for quick fixes when issues arise.
Responsibilities include version control, deployment automation, continuous integration, trunk-based development, test automation, test data management, security integration, leadership, communication, and accountability.
Requirements:
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in version control, storing all application code, system configuration, infrastructure code, and deployment scripts.
Experience in creating automated and repeatable deployment scripts for infrastructure, applications, and security is required.
Candidates should have a background in continuous integration, creating solutions that trigger build processes upon code changes.
Experience with trunk-based development, maintaining fewer than three active branches at any time, is necessary.
Candidates must be skilled in test automation, creating reliable automated tests for system configuration and deployment scripts.
Experience in designing solutions for test data management and collaborating with engineers in other capability areas is required.
Candidates should have experience integrating security into the software development lifecycle.
Strong leadership skills are necessary, including establishing milestones and priorities for work.
Excellent communication skills to present technical and non-technical information to various stakeholders are required.
Candidates must demonstrate accountability for multiple work projects and teams.
