Description:

Virtuous is seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to guide the development team in building for performance and moving to production quickly.
The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership and ensure best practices are followed in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies.
Responsibilities include orchestrating containerization of applications, architecting scalable and secure application architectures, and building and maintaining deployment pipelines in GitHub and Azure DevOps.
The role involves mentoring other DevOps and Software Engineers, collaborating with product managers and stakeholders, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining documentation, and advocating for continuous improvement in development processes and tools.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in software development or as a DevOps engineer, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a growing organization.
A strong understanding of Terraform and Azure deployments, including core features and secure use of tooling, is required.
Expertise in building and supporting release pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps Pipelines is essential, with experience in Amazon Beanstalk being a plus.
Proficiency in version control systems like Git is necessary.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities, are required to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
