Description:
Olo is a leading SaaS platform that accelerates digital transformation in the restaurant industry.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager for DevOps.
You will play a pivotal role in enabling engineering teams across the organization and executing platform-wide initiatives to modernize and scale Olo’s infrastructure.
Your responsibilities include consulting with various engineering teams to understand their challenges and architecting practical solutions to support performance, stability, and developer velocity.
You will act as the Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Data Operations, supporting data management pipelines, tools, and projects.
You will collaborate with Development teams to review existing strategies, recommend solutions, and provide input into architectural design and execution.
The position allows for remote work from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo’s headquarters in NYC.
You will lead large and complex projects, coordinate resources, and communicate with internal stakeholders and leadership.
You will solicit feedback from internal consumers to understand their challenges and help design platform products that meet their needs.
You will collaborate with other Platform teams to improve foundational platform offerings and help define, document, and implement platform-wide standards and best practices.
Participation in an on-call rotation as an escalation point/SME for service is also required.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, site reliability, or a similar role.
A minimum of 1+ years of experience in a hands-on technical leadership role is required.
Proficiency in designing, building, and managing services within a mature production environment is essential.
You should have significant hands-on experience managing Elasticsearch clusters in production, including capacity management and indexing strategy.
Experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines and BI technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift is necessary.
You must have experience recommending and implementing NoSQL technologies to solve business problems, such as Mongo, Scylla, or Cassandra.
Proficiency in writing code in one or more modern programming languages, including C#, Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, or Go, is required.
Experience working with containerization technologies in production, such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECR, ECS, or EKS, is also necessary.

The estimated compensation range for this position is $125k-170k annually for a Senior I and $136k-185k annually for a Senior II, depending on experience and location.
