Description:

• Prompt is seeking a Senior Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Software Engineer with experience in developing software solutions for handling large-scale transmission of ANSI EDI files in a healthcare setting.
• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare-related EDI transactions such as 837, 277, 999, and 835 messages, as well as knowledge of Health Level 7 (HL7) standards.
• Responsibilities include transitioning ANSI EDI code to a new language, designing and implementing software solutions for transmitting millions of ANSI EDI messages monthly, maintaining code sets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies.
• The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant EDI protocols, adapting to new programming languages and technologies as required, and developing systems that meet stringent healthcare industry standards.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven experience in developing EDI software solutions from scratch, specifically within the healthcare sector.
• Strong familiarity with 837, 277, 999, and 835 EDI transactions, as well as knowledge of HL7 standards.
• Proficiency in PHP or a comparable programming language, with a willingness to learn new languages as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new programming languages and manage transitions effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
