Remote Senior Engineer-Apps Team

Description:

• The Senior Engineer on the Apps Team at Xero will be responsible for building and managing software that solves engineering problems at scale.
• They will collaborate with other team members to create and deliver high-quality software to customers efficiently.
• The role involves software application development on existing and new products, aiming to enhance customer experiences.
• The Senior Engineer will maintain engineering excellence standards, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in best practices.
• They will contribute to a cross-functional environment, seek clarity on technical complexities, and make data-driven decisions to solve customer problems effectively.

Requirements:

• High level of experience in various programming languages and tools.
• Proven ability to contribute to internal ecosystems, build SDKs, and debug across the entire Xero technology stack.
• Proficiency in architecture and implementation of distributed systems, with the ability to refactor monolithic systems into scalable components.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, TDD, and automated tooling for safe code releases.
• Capability to review and enhance team processes to improve quality and feedback loops.
