Description:
Thrive is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Cloud Deployment team, responsible for deploying infrastructure-based Thrive Service Offerings to various client environments.
The primary objective of this position is to expedite service activations through efficient task completion while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to technology best practices.
This role includes mentoring and training less experienced engineers and setting standards for cloud deployment best practices.
The Senior Engineer will collaborate with Deployment Engineers, Project Managers, and Thrive clients to achieve project goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities include analyzing and documenting client/server environments, setting client expectations, serving as a point of escalation for other engineers, and developing new deployment standards.
The role involves providing training on new technologies, driving projects to successful outcomes, creating Technical Implementation Plans, and transitioning completed projects to the support team with necessary documentation.
The Senior Engineer will communicate directly with customers regarding project plans, potential impacts, and testing procedures, while demonstrating excellent time management skills to handle multiple ongoing projects.
Deployment responsibilities include IT services related to Backup and Disaster Recovery, Windows Server Roles, Hyper-V and VMWare Virtualization, Azure Workloads, and servers in public and private clouds.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates must be excellent problem solvers, able to prioritize and coordinate tasks effectively.
A minimum of 3-6+ years of server deployment and migration experience is necessary.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in troubleshooting network configuration and hardware issues is essential.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server and Workstation Technologies are required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must, along with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
Availability to work after hours when necessary is required.
Candidates should be able to follow documented processes while notifying management of any unclear variables.
