As a Senior Engineer I - Android, you will play a crucial role in developing mobile applications that enhance officer efficiency in evidence acquisition.
Your work will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining features within Axon View and Axon Capture, which are essential for interacting with body-worn cameras and managing digital evidence.
You will collaborate with a Scrum team to meet sprint goals and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Your responsibilities will include setting a high technical standard through code and design reviews and investigating optimal solutions to complex problems.
This position is remote and reports to the Sr Software Engineering Manager, Mobile Development.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
You must have at least 5 years of experience in developing and shipping high-quality Android applications.
Mastery of Java and strong competency in Kotlin is essential.
A proven track record of delivering solid code on schedule is necessary.
Experience with modern Android technologies presented at Google IO, such as Jetpack Compose, Room, Camera X, ExoPlayer, and Android 13, is required.
Familiarity with modern architecture patterns like MVVM and MVI, including unit testing, is expected.
Excellent communication skills are a must.
Experience with SDKs related to Bluetooth, WiFi, Networking, Camera (Photo/Video), Audio, and File Management is required.
Experience in creating and managing CI/CD automation and integration is necessary.
Hybrid native/web app experience is a plus.
