Description:
Waterplan, a Series A Y Combinator-backed Climate Tech startup, is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer to contribute to creating a water-secure future.
The role involves leading front-end development efforts, collaborating with design and back-end teams to enhance user experience, and driving growth and innovation in the Climate Tech industry.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining responsive user interfaces, implementing front-end components using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js, optimizing web applications for speed and scalability, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, writing clean and testable code, mentoring junior developers, and staying updated on industry trends.
The ideal candidate must be proactive, collaborative, have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, possess a minimum of 5 years of front-end development experience, expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks, familiarity with version control systems, Agile methodologies, and a passion for sustainability.
Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with back-end technologies, web performance optimization, experience in Climate Tech or environmental industry, and knowledge of maintaining design systems and UI libraries.
The position is remote with occasional in-person meetings.
