Remote Senior Frontend Engineer

Description:

• Bellhop, a fast-growing tech startup, is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their remote team in the USA.
• The role involves building client-facing and internal tooling applications, translating company and customer needs into functional applications, and ensuring a clean user experience.
• Responsibilities include maintaining and improving marketing sites, optimizing applications for speed, and developing features for desktop and mobile clients.
• The position requires collaboration with Backend developers, grooming tickets with Product owners, and integrating internal API’s.
• The successful candidate must ensure high-quality UI standards, advocate for software engineering best practices, and stay updated on emerging technologies.
• The role involves managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, advocating for product improvements, and creating efficient systems for the best user experience.
• The position requires a strong focus on scalability, reliability, logistics, and customer obsession, with consistent access to Slack as the role is remote.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional software experience with a focus on frontend development.
• Proven work experience as a Frontend Web developer with hands-on experience in React, Node, and vanilla JavaScript.
• In-depth understanding of the web development process, browser testing, and debugging.
• Ability to style components to meet design standards, with a basic understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of layout aesthetics, SEO principles, Figma, and content management systems.
• Excellent analytical, multitasking, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and deliver on time.
• High degree of organization, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
• Bonus points for experience with Express, React Admin package, startup or growth stage company background, and positive cultural contribution to a remote engineering team.
