Remote Senior Frontend Engineer

Description:

• Sparta Commodities, a Swiss VC-backed scaleup, is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their remote team in Spain.
• The role involves developing and maintaining various front-end systems, including an Excel plug-in, for a leading commodity trading platform.
• The ideal candidate will have ownership of projects from inception to release, be familiar with observability, product metrics, and maintainability, and participate in designing technical solutions.
• Responsibilities include reviewing code, improving code quality, and releasing new features using quality practices like automated testing and monitorization.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in a Frontend role.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability for projects and product metrics.
• Extensive experience with React and design systems.
• Proficiency in Jest, Mocha, or other common testing libraries.
• Strong communication skills for a remote-first company with a diverse workforce.
• Must be based in Spain or the UK for occasional travel to a central Madrid/London hub.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
