As a Senior Software Engineer II on the Frontend Web Experience Squad, you will collaborate with engineers to develop scalable, high-performance frontend web applications.
You will review designs and guide them towards reliable and sustainable outcomes, acting as a force multiplier within the team.
The role involves fostering a collaborative culture that encourages open communication and minimizes bureaucracy.
You will work with a passionate team dedicated to positively impacting the lives of first responders and their communities.
The position allows for remote work with the option to collaborate in-person at the Atlanta R&D Hub when necessary.
Responsibilities include building and owning the technical roadmap for web applications, implementing maintainable code using Angular, leading architecture design reviews, mentoring engineers, and improving engineering processes.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 10+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience in developing large-scale, consumer-facing web applications is essential.
Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks (Angular preferred) is required.
Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, MobX, or NgRx is necessary.
Experience with cloud-based APIs and infrastructure is required.
Strong experience with build and bundling tools like Webpack is essential.
Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks, such as Jest and Karma, is required.
Deep familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows like GitHub or GitLab is necessary.
Experience in optimizing web application performance, including techniques like code splitting and lazy loading, is required.
