GoodParty.org is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer based in the U.S. to contribute to their mission of prioritizing people over money in democracy.
The role involves building intuitive, inclusive, and accessible tools for candidates, volunteers, and creators that work seamlessly across desktop and mobile web.
Responsibilities include turning product requirements and designs into high-quality software, building AI and LLM use cases, maintaining design standards, and collaborating with a lean, agile team using CI/CD and Kanban methodologies.
The engineer will work directly with product, design, and QA teams and report to the CTO as an early team member.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong JavaScript skills, experience with React.js, knowledge of API best practices, and excellent CSS/SCSS skills, with 70% of the work focused on the front end.
A minimum of 4 years of relevant full-time work experience is required, ideally in a fast-paced 0-to-1 environment, with a focus on talent and trajectory over years of experience.
Interest and experience in using AI, LLMs, and automating tasks through AI are essential, along with technical and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve problems.
Candidates should be able to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems in real-time.
