Description:

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer on the Onboarding team, you will build industry-first products that allow businesses to launch their 401(k) in as little as five minutes.
You will collaborate with domain experts to design, build, test, and own systems and processes for servicing 401(k) plans.
The role emphasizes building robust systems that are observable, maintainable, and scalable.
Daily responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining user experiences for both external and internal customers.
You will work on business-critical foundational services that serve as the data funnel of the entire platform.
The position involves improving complex processes and systems to make them more robust and require less human intervention.
You will collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to share knowledge and build expertise.
The role requires developing ownership over domains in the system and making informed engineering tradeoffs.
You will advocate for and delight internal and external users while writing clean, high-quality code and tests.
Leading and participating in development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing, and production release is expected.
You will contribute to evolving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience building and maintaining software in production.
A desire to work with technologies such as Node, TypeScript, React, AWS, and PostgreSQL is essential.
Top-notch communication skills are required to effectively communicate with both engineers and non-engineers.
A strong desire to learn, think creatively, and share knowledge with others is necessary.
Enjoyment in mentoring other engineers and deeply reviewing their code is expected.
A proactive and empathetic mindset is important, with a willingness to fix problems for customers.
Past experience working in startups and/or fintech is preferred.
Nice to have skills include experience using and developing component libraries/design systems, familiarity with React Hooks, prior knowledge of GraphQL, and experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
System design and architecture experience, a background in 401k or finance tech, self-driven learning, and proficiency with Git as a version control system are also advantageous.
