Remote Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will be a key member of the Verity™ Engineering team within GumGum's Technology division.
• Responsible for building and maintaining various web applications used by internal and external users, focusing on GumGum's AI capabilities like Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision.
• Available during US-based working hours to lead the development and maintenance of all Verity™ applications and contribute to primary Verity™-related initiatives.
• Will work in a team that emphasizes skill sharing, learning, and personal & professional growth.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining new features for React web applications, developing backend functionality with Python, AWS Services, and GraphQL, contributing to JavaScript-based open source projects, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting user-reported issues, and collaborating with DevOps, Designers, and Product teams.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is a plus.
• 4-5+ years of Software Engineer experience, including JavaScript, with a proven track record of shipping code to production.
• 2+ years of experience with React and Python.
• Desired experience with AWS Cloud development (Lambda / S3 / Cognito), relational databases (Mysql / Postgres), Git, command-line tools, and ORM libraries like Python SqlAlchemy.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, browser developer tools, build tools such as Vite, responsive design concepts, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to work on multiple projects, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and suggest creative solutions.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage workload independently and work as part of a distributed team.
