Description:

  • Clearstory is seeking a senior software developer in the Philippines to assist with product growth initiatives.
  • The role involves reporting to the Growth team lead and Head of Growth, significantly impacting UX and product growth within the commercial construction industry.
  • The company has a hands-on culture and expects developers to engage actively.
  • The position requires at least 6 hours of overlap with the US/Pacific time zone (12 AM - 8 AM Philippines time).
  • Responsibilities include delivering valuable software by collaborating with the growth team, product team, developers, and QA team members.
  • The developer will identify technical and product opportunities, refine requirements, write and test changes, and own them through the release process into production.
  • Ensuring a high-quality experience by testing code from the customer’s perspective using common tools and flows is essential.
  • The developer will work on improving the product across all layers of the stack to deliver a quality, performant experience.
  • Projects include enhancing user experience for customer acquisition, building solutions for tracking user data, optimizing pricing and packaging, implementing A/B testing, and creating new collaboration features for large construction projects.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 4+ years of software development experience, preferably in a startup environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Node or Golang is required.
  • Candidates should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience writing front ends with React 16 or above.
  • Experience in breaking down complex problems and developing clever solutions in a team setting is necessary.
  • Candidates should embody core values such as curiosity, customer obsession, simplicity, and a commitment to raising the bar.
  • Strong ownership of work and the ability to see it through into production and beyond is essential.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with team members are required.
