Remote Senior Fullstack Engineer, Govern: Compliance

• As a Senior Fullstack Engineer in the Compliance group, you will help mature enterprise-grade Compliance features that impact GitLab's enterprise sales success.
• The Compliance group focuses on Compliance Management and Audit Events, aiming to expand feature maturity and build a robust architecture.
• Responsibilities include writing high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code, contributing to the overall direction of the Compliance group, and advocating for product quality, security, and performance.
• You will collaborate with senior engineers on architectural plans and participate in agile development practices.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in building, deploying, and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications, with a deep understanding of the Rails ecosystem and unit testing with RSpec.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and building frontend web applications using GraphQL.
• Professional experience with VueJS or another modern JavaScript web framework such as React, Angular, or Ember.
• A solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts, including unit testing components with Jest.
• A strong background in developing secure applications and understanding how to protect them against modern security threats.
• Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries, preferably with PostgreSQL, to manage and manipulate data effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical problems and propose thorough iterative solutions.
