Description:

The role focuses on building VR solutions for public safety training, specifically addressing the challenges of ineffective and non-scalable training for police officers.
The VR team aims to create engaging training experiences that provide scenario feedback, emphasizing community engagement and less-lethal weapon training.
The position involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop immersive VR training simulations that enhance officer interactions with the community.
The work environment promotes a friendly and open culture, encouraging collaboration and fun through daily check-ins and weekly VR Happy Hours.
The role allows for remote work with the option to collaborate in-person at various US R&D hubs.
Responsibilities include designing and developing VR training simulations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting user research, and creating detailed design documents.
Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Game Designer, with a Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to mentor junior team members and lead cross-functional project teams.
Proven experience in designing engaging VR, games, or interactive training simulations.
Strong communication skills to drive cross-functional alignment on design values and standards.
Proficiency in game development tools such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
Ability to quickly design and build prototypes in 3D and VR.
Strong understanding of VR technologies, including hardware and software capabilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Passion for creating impactful training experiences in VR.
