Description:

We are seeking a skilled iOS developer who is excited by the challenge of refining and advancing our core 3D scanning framework.
The role involves getting the most out of LiDAR, Open3D, and related technologies to deliver higher quality, more accurate scans.
This is a fully remote position, with a preference for candidates willing to work EST hours.
Responsibilities include collaborating closely with the 3D scanning team to refine algorithms for higher quality and more accurate LiDAR-based point cloud generation.
The developer will write native iOS and iPadOS apps using Swift, focusing on enhancing scanning and sizing technology.
Integration of spatial computing capabilities, including point cloud registration and stitching depth maps into a coherent 360-degree point cloud, is required.
The role involves identifying ways to improve scan accuracy and reduce failure rates through iteration on existing frameworks and API usage.
Mentoring less experienced developers, particularly on technical aspects of spatial computing and 3D scanning, is expected.
The developer will report directly to the Head of 3D and Mobile Solutions.
Participation in Agile ceremonies such as standups and sprints is necessary to ensure efficient progress with minimal disruptions.
Code review and providing constructive feedback to help improve the framework and encourage team growth is part of the job.
Working with backend APIs, primarily REST or GraphQL, to support the 3D scanning pipeline is also required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional iOS development experience, ideally with significant exposure to spatial computing or computer vision projects.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and skills is required.
Expertise in Swift is necessary, with additional knowledge of Objective-C being a plus.
Experience building interfaces with SwiftUI and applying Human Interface Guidelines when necessary is expected.
Strong familiarity with iOS design patterns such as MVC and MVVM is required.
