Description:
- As a UK Remote Senior Java Engineer at Insights, you will be part of a delivery squad responsible for designing, developing, and delivering new experiences and products crucial to the company's future.
- You will collaborate with Technical Leads to design software architecture and conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
- Responsibilities include contributing to the improvement of development processes, writing and maintaining tests, and providing documentation for solutions.
- You will actively participate in Agile SCRUM ceremonies, mentor less experienced colleagues, and engage in cross-squad collaboration to solve technical challenges.
- The role involves understanding and addressing technical debt, participating in application support, and resolving production issues.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in Java 8 (or later), Spring Framework(s), and Gradle or Maven.
- Proficiency in AWS and its managed services portfolio or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and working with RDBMS (Postgres, MySQL, SQLServer) and associated ORM technologies.
- Strong focus on automation throughout the engineering lifecycle and implementing robust, scalable solutions.
- Leading the use of cutting-edge technologies to deliver innovative software.
Other useful experience and skills:
- Familiarity with AWS and its managed services portfolio.
- Experience in writing infrastructure as code (Terraform) and knowledge of "Big Data" processing concepts, challenges, and architectures.
