Description:

Gorilla Logic is seeking a passionate senior-level backend Software Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in backend system development, specifically in building APIs and data integration systems.
The successful candidate will collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA to build and release software solutions.
Responsibilities include writing well-designed, testable, efficient, and documented code, integrating disparate software components into a fully functional software system, and developing software verification plans while following quality assurance procedures.
The role involves translating architectural diagrams and documentation into backend code, developing functional applications, databases, and data flows to support product capabilities, and designing secure, performant RESTful services and APIs.
The candidate must ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are considered during development.
The position requires tailoring and deploying software tools, processes, and metrics, as well as becoming a subject matter expert and sharing knowledge with team members.
The tech stack includes Java 11/17, Spring Boot 2/3, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Postgres, and other relational databases.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills are required.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is necessary.
Proficiency in Git or other version control systems is required.
Candidates should have experience working with multi-site and/or offshore teams or team members.
Experience in integrating systems, libraries, components, and data is essential.
A solid understanding of Agile software development concepts and processes is required.
Candidates should understand the eventual data consistency model.
A passion for writing clean, well-organized, and production-ready code is essential.
