Description:
Constructor is a search and product discovery platform focused on enterprise ecommerce, aiming to enhance product discovery and deliver personalized experiences.
The Ranking team within the Machine Learning chapter is responsible for implementing algorithms that optimize business KPIs like revenue and conversion rates.
The team consists of ML, backend, and frontend engineers, as well as designers, and works on all stages of product ranking for Constructor’s Search, Browse, and Autocomplete experiences.
The Ranking team manages an online high load distributed REST-based ranking service developed in Python, handling around 55 million requests daily.
They also oversee offline data pipelines for data processing, ML model training, and ranking configuration for customers.
The role involves enhancing ranking systems to ensure relevance, personalization, and diversity in search experiences.
Responsibilities include designing and developing ML-based ranking solutions, improving ranking quality, innovating ranking algorithms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience with Python for machine learning and backend development.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models, particularly for ranking systems.
Experience in large-scale ML model training, evaluation, and optimization, focusing on real-time inference and serving is required.
Proficiency with big data frameworks such as Spark for processing large datasets and integrating them into ML pipelines is necessary.
Candidates should be skilled in using SQL, PySpark, Pandas, and other frameworks for data extraction and analysis.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow or Luigi is essential for managing ML training workflows.
Familiarity with ranking algorithms that optimize metrics such as relevance and conversion rates is a plus.
Soft skills include experience in cross-functional collaboration, project leadership, excellent English communication, and a passion for helping others grow.
