Description:
- As a Senior Ruby Developer at Excella, you will be part of a leading provider of Agile software development and data and analytics solutions for clients in various sectors.
- You will have the opportunity to work on game-changing products and applications for commercial and government clients, using technologies such as Ruby, C#, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Your responsibilities will include building cutting-edge solutions, employing Agile development practices, supporting quality development, and continuously improving the code base.
- You will actively participate in code reviews, adopt best practices from various communities, and strive for elegant and high-quality code.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in developing scalable web applications.
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or similar web frameworks.
- Experience with REST and/or SOAP based APIs in Rails.
- Strong database skills with MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Deep commitment to test-driven development using tools like Cucumber, RSpec, Capybara, Watir, or MiniTest.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, ERB, SCSS, JavaScript, or jQuery.
- Design skills in object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, database design, and data modeling.
- Preferably a 4-year college degree in computer science or engineering.
- Understanding of DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) capabilities.
