Description:
Teal is looking for a skilled DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of applications and infrastructure.
The role involves monitoring systems, designing scalable policies, automating processes, and providing technical support to maintain peak performance.
Responsibilities include reviewing application and service performance, designing load balancing policies, detecting vulnerabilities, and monitoring applications using tools like Data Dog and New Relic.
The engineer will configure alerting thresholds, provide technical support, document processes, conduct post-mortems, and mentor others on the DevOps/SRE philosophy.
Collaboration with Agile teams to define technical requirements is also a key aspect of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS/Cloud infrastructure management using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of packaging and deploying front-end code (HTML/JS/CSS) for large applications is required.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell is necessary.
Experience working with databases like Postgres or MongoDB is essential.
Familiarity with team-based git workflows using platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket is expected.
Strong communication and organizational skills are required for this position.
Nice-to-haves include experience with programming languages like Go, Node, or Python, familiarity with GraphQL endpoints, and knowledge of front-end frameworks like React.

The position offers a salary range of $160,000 - $180,000 along with incentive stock options proportionate to salary.
