Description:

  • Teal is looking for a skilled DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of applications and infrastructure.
  • The role involves monitoring systems, designing scalable policies, automating processes, and providing technical support to maintain peak performance.
  • Responsibilities include reviewing application and service performance, designing load balancing policies, detecting vulnerabilities, and monitoring applications using tools like Data Dog and New Relic.
  • The engineer will configure alerting thresholds, provide technical support, document processes, conduct post-mortems, and mentor others on the DevOps/SRE philosophy.
  • Collaboration with Agile teams to define technical requirements is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS/Cloud infrastructure management using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of packaging and deploying front-end code (HTML/JS/CSS) for large applications is required.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell is necessary.
  • Experience working with databases like Postgres or MongoDB is essential.
  • Familiarity with team-based git workflows using platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket is expected.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required for this position.
  • Nice-to-haves include experience with programming languages like Go, Node, or Python, familiarity with GraphQL endpoints, and knowledge of front-end frameworks like React.

  • The position offers a salary range of $160,000 - $180,000 along with incentive stock options proportionate to salary.
