Description:

Modern Health is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their remote team in the US.
The role involves managing and orchestrating Cloud Resource (AWS) configuration using Infrastructure As Code (Terraform).
The engineer will develop and govern Observability (Datadog) best practices to track platform performance and health trends.
Responsibilities include creating scalable solutions, providing communication updates on technical progress, and participating in 24/7 on-call critical alerts.
The position requires maintaining compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC-2 through best practice implementation.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in DevOps.
Experience with Cloud Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and managing resources through Infrastructure As Code (Terraform) is required.
Knowledge of Container Orchestration (ECS or K8s) for building, testing, and releasing containerized applications is necessary.
Familiarity with Observability best practices across common cloud resources and experience in rolling out enhancements is essential.
Candidates should have experience with shell scripting for *nix systems and networking for web applications.
Effective communication skills through writing and diagramming are required.
Comfort in working with a distributed development and ops team is necessary.
Familiarity with AWS, Gitlab, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, Datadog, Sentry, Terraform, and Packer is preferred.
