Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer

• As a contributor in the APX SRE organization, you will deliver solutions to real-time problems faced by mission-critical cloud-native services.

• Build robust, easy-to-use foundational platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to provision services rapidly, consistently, and securely.
• Exemplify cloud-native site reliability best practices and write performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code.
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to debug issues in cloud-native distributed systems.
• Influence and educate the engineering organization on new and improved architectural patterns.
• Provide comprehensive documentation to promote self-service among engineers.
• Take calculated risks, champion new ideas, and continuously cultivate your craft.

Requirements:

• This position involves handling classified federal data; therefore, it is open to US Citizens only.
• A minimum of 10 years of applicable experience is required.
• Experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar is necessary.
• Proficiency in operating Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, or similar is essential.
• Experience with managed languages such as Python, Go, C#, Java, or similar is required.
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms to automate provisioning infrastructure, software builds, tests, and releases is needed.
• Experience using observability tools such as APM, logging, and metrics for debugging issues is important.
• Ability to design tooling that simplifies the operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems is required.
• Familiarity with building flexible and testable Infrastructure as Code modules is necessary.
• Empathy to support the needs of software engineers is essential.
