Description:

Rackspace Technology is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (GCP) to join their team, working remotely in the United States.
The role involves supporting Site Reliability and DevOps Infrastructure on Google Cloud, with a focus on large-scale GCP deployments and migrations.
Key responsibilities include owning and completing key tasks, collaborating with stakeholders to implement optimal solutions, and delivering innovative solutions that address complexity, scale, and performance.
The engineer will create frameworks and best practices to guide customers and will have hands-on implementation experience with various DevOps tools.
Responsibilities also include the administration and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, on-call support, monitoring, security best practices, automation, deployment, and creating reusable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with Terraform.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, and Infrastructure, with a preference for experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proficiency in managing GCP services such as Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Compute Engine (GCE), Networking, Security, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
Experience with large-scale applications, computer systems, and networks is required.
Candidates should be proficient in Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP, MAIL protocols, DNS, content delivery networks (CDN), load balancers, and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficiency in constructing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm Charts is necessary.
Programming skills in Python, Golang, or Java, along with the ability to build CI/CD pipelines for deploying services in these languages, are required.
Experience with cloud databases and storage platforms, transaction processing systems, and machine learning platforms is considered an advantage.

The anticipated starting pay range varies by state, with specific ranges provided for Colorado, Hawaii, New York, California, New York City, and Washington.
Compensation may include variable components such as bonuses, commissions, or other discretionary payments based on performance.
