Description:

• Articulate is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team.
• The role involves working cross-functionally to deliver and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure.
• Responsibilities include setting an example of best practices for infrastructure maintenance, orchestrating infrastructure with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• The engineer will guide and mentor less-experienced team members and deliver scalable, resilient, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving is essential, including using log data to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Collaboration on project milestones and breaking down large initiatives into manageable tasks is required.
• The engineer will communicate with technical stakeholders to align infrastructure solutions across the organization.
• Participation in on-call rotation and incident reviews is expected.
• The role includes developing and performing necessary testing to ensure infrastructure meets industry standards and customer expectations.
• Timely execution of technical project work against expected milestones is crucial.
• The engineer should work urgently to find quick solutions and continuously evolve the platform for customer self-service.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure is required.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go or Python is necessary.
• Experience managing and optimizing containerized deployments in cloud environments is essential.
• Familiarity with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies is required.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or ECS is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience sharing knowledge across teams to create a self-serving platform.
• Strong experience in implementing and managing monitoring solutions, including setting up alerts for performance issues, is required.
• Direct experience using KPIs for observability, monitoring, and alerting is essential.
• A focus on iterative development practices and delivering value incrementally is necessary.
