Remote Senior Software Developer

Description:

• The Senior Software Developer position at Viamericas involves working within the software development organization to develop, design, and implement product features and enhancements.
• The role requires a solid understanding of the company's business, product development lifecycle, and experience in implementing enterprise-class software.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with various teams, understanding business partner needs, and providing solutions to complex business problems.
• The individual must be proactive, results-driven, and able to anticipate and handle issues independently.
• Duties include defining feature specifications, developing frameworks and features, designing front-end interfaces, APIs, and backend systems, and optimizing code for reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• The role also involves working with operations teams to ensure applications and services are highly available and reliable.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IS, IT, or related field.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to develop solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience working with peers and senior executives.
• Five plus years of experience in software development.
• Exposure to the FinTech industry is desired.
• Experience with HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, NodeJS, React/Angular is desired.
• Must have SQL server experience and experience with AWS.
• Experience in client-server or n-tier architectures required, with service-oriented, RESTful, or micro-services experience preferred.
• Ideally, the candidate has worked in an Agile environment.
• English proficiency: CEFC2, TOEIC915, TOEFL82.5.
