Description:

FloQast is seeking a motivated Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of high-impact features across new product lines.
The role involves identifying product and engineering opportunities that will delight customers and exceed quality expectations.
Candidates should have experience in building, testing, deploying, and gathering feedback in a fast-paced startup environment.
The engineer will collaborate with the team, sales, and customers to define, prioritize, and build new features.
Responsibilities include guiding a team of 5 or more engineers through key product and technical milestones, creating clarity on customer needs, and prioritizing tasks.
The engineer will work on activities to unblock team members, maintain low technical debt, and improve innovation speed and quality.
The position requires building user-focused experiences using React, NodeJS, and MongoDB, and leveraging AWS services for efficient feature deployment.
The engineer will help lead the technical vision and participate in discussions and implementations of complex projects.
Continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and systems is expected to enhance team productivity.
The engineer will fully own or collaborate on features throughout the software development lifecycle, including code reviews, deployments, and production support.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of professional full-stack experience in web app development, RESTful API design, or data modeling in SQL or NoSQL systems.
The ability to lead architecture decisions and define best practices for scalable and maintainable codebases is essential.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and technologies such as React, NodeJS, or MongoDB is required.
A good understanding of testing practices, including unit, integration, or end-to-end testing using tools like Vitest, Jest, RTL, Playwright, or Cypress is necessary.
A proven track record of shipping high-quality products and features to customers and developing projects at scale is expected.
Candidates should be able to quickly translate business and product ideas into engineering solutions.
Motivation to take products to market, solve customer problems, and grow professionally is important.

The base pay range for this position is $144,000 - $216,000, with compensation not limited to base salary.
