Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer at Circle will be responsible for extending the company's in-house blockchain systems infrastructure to support the tokenization of the world.
• They will analyze requirements, procedures, and problems to enhance existing systems and modify systems as needed.
• Building and owning scalable microservices that ensure reliable and secure APIs for transferring value and assets across blockchain protocols and traditional banking protocols.
• Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and shape Circle features, including developing and documenting system design procedures, testing procedures, and quality standards.
• Troubleshooting program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning.
• Developing publicly accessible APIs to simplify integration with complex payment systems.
• Integrating Platform Services with leading banks and financial technologies.
• Writing infrastructure to deliver excellent payment experiences, including data sources, messaging systems, and APIs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience in object-oriented languages like Java and Go.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field (or equivalent).
• Experience leading teams technically on architecture and system design.
• Familiarity with payment systems like credit cards and bank transfers.
• Broad understanding of RESTful API design and development principles.
• Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc).
• Proficiency with SQL databases and designing schemas.
• Proven experience in designing and deploying production-quality, scalable software.
• Focus on coding standards and code quality with a desire for great test coverage.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with remote teams effectively.
• Self-starter who enjoys working at a fast pace, shipping software to improve user experience with little supervision.

Benefits:

• This position is eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.
• Base Pay Range: $147,500 - $195,000.
• Annual Bonus Target: 12.5%.
