Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Wonderschool is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team and lead software development initiatives.
• The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, develop software solutions using TypeScript/Javascript, and maintain the codebase.
• Responsibilities include integrating internal applications, optimizing databases, staying updated with industry trends, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, 5+ years of software development experience, and expertise in TypeScript/Javascript.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and Agile development skills are required.
• Frontend and backend experience with various technologies like ReactJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL APIs is essential.
• Bonus skills include experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform and AWS.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on TypeScript/Javascript.
• Proven experience integrating internal applications and services.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Agile development methodologies. Experience as a ScrumMaster is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Frontend and backend experience with various technologies like ReactJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with CI pipelines, TDD, and bonus skills in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
