• The Hiring Platform Team is responsible for modeling and orchestrating the hiring process models related to clients within Emi, providing infrastructure for client integration and connecting frontline workers with opportunities.
• As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will design system architecture, perform high-level programming, testing, and systems integration.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with the Product team, solving production issues, building and maintaining internal microservices, proposing improvements, shipping code weekly, analyzing real-time results, and enhancing service performance.
• You will also contribute to building an inclusive, people-driven company culture.

Requirements:

• You must have 3+ years of back-end software development experience.
• A completed degree or advanced studies in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• Strong experience with distributed systems and microservices is essential.
• Familiarity with leveraging LLMs/GenAI to enhance performance is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English are necessary.
• A humble learner who keeps up with technology and learns from mistakes is desired.
• A proactive mindset and eagerness to propose new ideas and simple solutions are important.
• You should have a people-driven attitude and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• A product-minded engineer who considers the product and users is sought after.
• Curiosity and initiative, especially in refactoring medium to large services, are valued.
• Interest or experience in infrastructure and DevOps is a plus.
