The position is for a Senior Software Engineer focused on backend development with a passion for building DeFi solutions.
The role involves being an individual contributor on projects and leading technical projects of moderate to high complexity.
Responsibilities include offering insights during design reviews, creating high-quality and secure code, launching new features regularly, and improving software delivery processes.
The engineer will also coach and mentor other engineers and empathize with customers and users.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in solving complex distributed computing problems.
They should be generalists capable of designing and building systems from the ground up, including relational or key-value data stores, distributed event-driven architectures, and cloud-based deployments, preferably on AWS.
Experience leading small to medium-sized projects as a tech lead with 2-4 engineers is required.
Candidates should be able to research and apply technology appropriately while understanding trade-offs.
A focus on shipping high-quality code that provides maximum user and business value is essential.
Experience with maintaining business-critical, high-volume, customer-facing applications, preferably SaaS or API platforms, is necessary.
Candidates must be up to date on emerging threats and trends in application security.
A passion for DeFi and its potential to improve lives is required.
Preferred qualifications include a solid understanding of blockchains, experience with JSON-RPC APIs, and familiarity with Web3 libraries.

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $230,000, plus equity, ZRX tokens, and benefits.
