Description:
Rise8 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their remote team, focused on transforming the United States Government through innovative technology and collaboration.

The role involves working with clients unfamiliar with agile practices, teaching them design thinking, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous-release deployment.

The engineer will pair with clients' developers to enhance their skills and deliver user stories that provide business value.
The position requires a commitment to continuous learning and adapting approaches to meet client needs.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6-10 years of software development experience in various programming languages.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to work in a pair-programming environment are essential.
Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies is required.
Proficiency in PHP, Kotlin, Java, or JavaScript, as well as frameworks like Spring Boot, React.JS, Vue, or Redux is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with both frontend and backend development, and familiarity with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and processes, API development, and Linux environments is required.
A BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is necessary.
Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance for U.S. Government work.
