Ord.io is building an all-in-one platform for Web3 on Bitcoin, offering a seamless experience for exploring and trading Bitcoin memecoins and NFTs, tracking portfolios, and socializing in token-gated group chats.
The company prioritizes user safety and ease of use, which has led to significant traction and a successful $2M pre-seed funding round in April 2024.
The team operates fully remotely.
The Senior Software Engineer, Backend will lead initiatives to launch new products and infrastructure.
This role involves maintaining and improving existing systems.
The engineer will also work to strengthen and evolve the culture of engineering excellence within the company.
The position requires interfacing directly with users to help shape the product direction.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
Proficiency in Node.js, MySQL, Redis, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, AWS, and CI/CD is essential.
Strong experience in building and owning high-availability, scalable, secure, low-latency systems is necessary.
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who proactively takes initiative without waiting for direction and can start providing value on day one.
Experience with Bitcoin and crypto is considered a nice to have.
