Remote Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer, Backend position at Evolve involves building and maintaining APIs and integrations with distribution partners.
• The role requires collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions using backend development tools and technologies.
• Responsibilities include leading design reviews, improving system reliability, and working closely with Engineering and Product Managers.
• The ideal candidate will mentor less experienced developers, drive code reviews, and debug complex multi-system problems effectively.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of backend development experience with frameworks like Nodejs and integrations with 3rd Party tools, APIs, and services.
• Proficiency in designing and documenting architecture decisions, AWS services (e.g., Lambdas, Eventbridge, DynamoDB), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, experience with Agile development, and expertise in Git version control.
• Ability to provide and receive constructive code review feedback, automate tasks using custom tools, and find solutions to problems using debugging tools.
