Coinbase is seeking experienced backend engineers to join their team to build the next generation of crypto-forward products and features.
The role involves solving unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology.
You will help build systems to make cryptocurrency accessible globally, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing secure, dockerized infrastructure in the cloud.
The Consumer Product Group engineers aim to make the Coinbase retail app the easiest-to-use and fastest experience for accessing crypto.
In 2024, the goal is to be the #1 self custody wallet measured by MTU’s and download share.
The suite of products includes the Coinbase app, advanced trade, dapps, and staking.
Responsibilities include building new services using Golang, designing scalable systems, articulating a long-term vision for backend systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and writing high-quality, well-tested code.

Requirements:

You must have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
You should have designed, built, scaled, and maintained production services, and know how to compose a service-oriented architecture.
You need to write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
A passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together is essential.

The target annual salary for this position can range from $[Zone 3 Pay] to $[Zone 1 Pay] + target bonus + target equity.
