The Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Developer - Onramp) position is a remote role based in the USA at Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP).
CDP is focused on building developer tools to facilitate onchain development, aiming to simplify the process for developers.
The team operates with a startup mentality, emphasizing a fast pace, strong ownership culture, and a commitment to enhancing developer experiences.
The Onramp and Offramp services serve as a bridge between fiat and onchain economies, with Onramp being crucial for onboarding users into the crypto space.
The role involves joining a talented team to develop the best systems for moving money onchain and offchain, impacting major applications in the crypto industry.
The position requires writing high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs and collaborating closely with designers and product managers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
A scrappy self-starter mindset is essential, with a willingness to take action to improve customer user experience.
A solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven architectures is required.
Experience working across full stack development, including Web, Mobile, and Backend, is necessary.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are needed to work effectively with designers and product managers.
A passion for developer tooling and opinions on what constitutes excellent developer platforms is important.
Candidates should have a passion for Onchain/Web3 and a solid understanding of blockchain technologies, particularly Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains.

The target annual salary for this position ranges from $186,065 to $218,900 USD, depending on work location.
