The Senior Software Engineer will work on the Content Platform team, focusing on connecting and reusing content from third-party systems within the Contentful platform.

The engineer will work on improving REST and GraphQL API experiences, which handle billions of requests monthly.

Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in designing, building, and delivering robust distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
Strong knowledge and commercial experience with the server-side JavaScript ecosystem (Node.js) and TypeScript are required.
The candidate should lead by example, advocating for agile processes, operational excellence, and coding best practices.
Strong teamwork skills are essential, with the ability to consider diverse opinions and mentor less experienced engineers.
Familiarity with automated deployment processes (CI/CD) and version control (Git) is necessary.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, are required; knowledge of German is not necessary.
Knowledge of functional programming principles, GraphQL, and serverless applications is a plus.
