Coinbase is seeking experienced backend engineers to join their team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features.
The role involves solving unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology.
The engineer will help build systems to make cryptocurrency accessible globally, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing secure, dockerized infrastructure in the cloud.
The Institutional Product Group supports thousands of large financial institutions, enabling them to custody their digital assets and participate in the crypto economy securely.
The team focuses on building a scalable and secure crypto platform that supports hundreds of assets and enables participation in staking, governance, and web3 gateways.
Responsibilities include building new services using Golang, designing scalable systems, articulating a long-term vision for backend systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and writing high-quality, well-tested code.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
Applicants should have designed, built, scaled, and maintained production services, with knowledge of service-oriented architecture.
The ability to write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs is essential.
