Description:

Ailevate is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in backend development for the Revenue Recovery team.
The role involves designing and implementing production-grade APIs, services, and infrastructure for healthcare providers to analyze, report, and monitor healthcare claim submissions.
Responsibilities include creating scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and OpenAPI specifications, and building RESTful endpoints to support complex healthcare revenue workflows.
The engineer will integrate data sources like Elasticsearch into modular APIs and collaborate with front-end engineers and product stakeholders to define service contracts and data flows.
The position emphasizes system reliability, performance optimization, and maintaining code quality by writing clean, testable code.
Technologies used include Node.js, OpenAPI specifications, RESTful API design, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and SQLite, focusing on healthcare data security and high-availability service architecture.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience building backend services with Node.js.
A strong understanding of OpenAPI specifications, RESTful API design, and microservice principles is required.
Experience with NoSQL document datastores, particularly Elasticsearch, is essential.
Familiarity with performance optimization, API caching, and scalable service design is necessary.
Proficiency in debugging distributed systems and building resilient architectures is expected.
Candidates should be comfortable collaborating in remote-first teams across different time zones.
