Description:

The Senior Software Engineer will work within Cumberland’s blockchain product development team to design and support customer-facing products on distributed ledger technology.
Responsibilities include leading the Engineering team, serving as a Solution Architect for multiple products, triaging complex software issues, providing technical support to customers, prioritizing and resolving incidents, and documenting features and issue resolutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent technical training and/or work experience.
5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer.
Strong technical skills in computer hardware, software, networking, security, and related areas.
Experience developing commercial applications using Java, JavaScript, Python, or Scala.
Proficiency with databases like SQL, PostgreSQL, and/or Oracle.
Understanding of networking protocols/firewalls, cloud computing environments, and deploying applications.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, configure operating systems, and use blockchain-based distributed ledgers.
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and third-party tools like Jira, Confluence, Datadog, Jaeger, GitHub.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Desire to be the technical owner of multiple products.
Experience managing contractors, third-party products, financial services, and/or Web3 is a plus.

Competitive annual base salary range of $200,000 to $250,000, with potential for variable compensation and/or benefits.
Position can be located in a DRW office in Chicago, New York, Austin, or fully remote.
