Description:

  • The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for contributing to all stages of building the Replicated delivery and management platform, implementing, testing, and deploying new enhancements and updates to products.
  • The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes and Helm to build multi-premise features for ISVs and Enterprise customers.
  • Specifically, as part of the Compatibility Matrix product team, the engineer will enable customers to test and develop applications across various Kubernetes distributions, highlighting differences between them.
  • The position entails working on back end API services, a custom hypervisor service, a supporting CLI, Github actions, Terraform modules, and potentially other tooling.
  • Engineers will take a 25% ownership of support for their product line, directly working with customers to address issues and incorporate feedback into design choices.
  • The role requires a deep understanding of problems to solve, creating solutions that customers love, and being ready to make quick prototypes for customer feedback before writing any code.
  • The stack includes Go, Kubernetes, React, and more, offering opportunities to work across the stack and develop software for a technical user-base of software developers.
  • The engineering group is organized in pods, with full stack teams owning specific areas of the product and focusing on delivering value to customers.

Requirements:

  • Senior level professional development experience with Go and associated tooling.
  • Senior level professional experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native projects.
  • Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills to engage with leadership, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Experience with Linux hypervisors, networking, virtualization technologies, API services, and their datastores.
  • Proficiency in developing and shipping software in a cloud-native, customer-facing infrastructure.
  • Ability to create impactful contributions independently or collaboratively, tackle complex challenges, and deliver within a modern CI/CD pipeline.
  • High curiosity for innovative software solutions and a balance between innovation and sustainable practices.
